Brianna grew up in a rural area of northern New Jersey, and knew from a young age she wanted to be a teacher.
After graduating from The College of New Jersey, Brianna began her career in science education, teaching 7th grade integrated science in a Title I school district in central New Jersey (which does exist!).
In 2016, Brianna became an inaugural member of the NextGenScience Peer Review Panel. This cohort was comprised of educators from across the country with expertise in the Next Generation Science Standards and the EQuIP Rubric for Science, and reviewed free and publicly avialable lessons to evaluate how well designed they were for the NGSS. Brianna often says the professional growth experienced through this group changed her life.
Brianna began part-time consulting with the National Science Teaching Association while teaching. Through this work, she was onboarded and trained in professional learning facilitation and instructional coaching.
In 2018, Brianna earned her Master of Science in Science Education from Montana State University. At graduation she was awarded Outstanding MSSE Graduate for 2018. Around that time, Brianna transitioned from teaching to full time curriculum design and development for comprehensive K-8 NGSS curricular programs.
Now, Brianna is a full time consultant, supporting organizations and school districts in meeting the vision described by A Framework for K-12 Science Education.
